Changes coming for Pennsylvania medical marijuana ID cards

In 2023, the Pennsylvania Department of Health will be updating the design of the medical marijuana ID cards. The new design will gradually replace the existing cards as patients renew their ID cards. Patients and caregivers do not need to get a new ID card, they can just wait until their current card expires. The new design will function in the same way as the older design and dispensaries will be required to accept both designs of cards. It is important to note that while medical marijuana is legal in Pennsylvania, recreational marijuana has not yet been legalized.
