Willow trees contain a natural rooting hormone. This can easily be used to propagate cuttings from other plants. All natural and cost free.

Natural Rooting Hormone

Clip off a few new growth branches from a Willow tree.

The branches must be new growth and alive in order for them to contain the hormone.

Cut the branches into 1 inch or shorter pieces.

Put the willow pieces into a large pot and cover with water.

Simmer the mixture for about a half an hour. Let cool overnight.

Strain and filter when cool.

This can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two months.

Soak the cuttings in this tea until they begin to root.

Watering your transplants for the first couple of days with this mixture helps the plants get over the shock of being transplanted and stimulates root growth.
