Come To Detroit For The U.s. Social Forum, June 22- 26, 2010

Recommended Posts

As quoted from the web site: “The US Social Forum (USSF) is a movement building process. It is not a conference but it is a space to come up with the peoples’ solutions to the economic and ecological crisis. The USSF is the next most important step in our struggle to build a powerful multi-racial, multi-sectoral, inter-generational, diverse, inclusive, internationalist movement that transforms this country and changes history.”

Tomorrow there will be a workshop on, “ Ending all drug wars; Organizing on a Shoestring; Fighting Foreclosures and Evections; and many more. Come on down!

I do hope many of you were able to make it downtown to the Social Forum. The week was awesome. There were people here from around the world. I meet people from Canada, Mexico, Austral, Ecuador, France, and Latin America, as well as those from California, Hawaii, New York, Louisiana, and other places. If there was a social issue to discuss, there was a group to discuss it.

This was one of those once-in-a-lifetime events, and we were lucky enough to have it here.
