any one else heard that they are trying to revive kuipers criminal law. i thought this was dead with bill 617 ?

16 SEC. 17790. (1) MEDICAL MARIHUANA SHALL NOT BE GROWN, SOLD,

17 DISTRIBUTED, POSSESSED, USED, TRANSPORTED, OR DELIVERED FOR USE

18 UNDER THE MICHIGAN MEDICAL MARIHUANA ACT, 2008 IL 1, MCL

19 333.26421 TO 333.26430, UNLESS GROWN AND SOLD THROUGH A MEDICAL

21 PHARMACIST SHALL NOT DISPENSE MEDICAL MARIHUANA AS A SCHEDULE 2

23 MEDICAL MARIHUANA GROWING FACILITY LICENSED UNDER THIS SECTION.

24 (2) A PERSON SHALL NOT OPERATE A MEDICAL MARIHUANA GROWING

25 FACILITY IN THIS STATE UNTIL ISSUED A LICENSE UNDER THIS SECTION.

26 NO MORE THAN 10 MEDICAL MARIHUANA GROWING FACILITIES SHALL BE

Well, in case you're wondering, here's "what he says" about our "FREEDOM of CHOICES":

"My resolution, Senate Joint Resolution K, gives Michigan residents the freedom to make their own health care decisions. SJR K would allow Michigan residents to vote on a constitutional amendment which would proclaim that "every person has a right to provide for his or her own health care."

 

Now, wouldn't THAT Be Nice?

 

Here's what else he says:

 

“I introduced the Michigan Health Care Freedom Act to preserve our personal freedom to make our own health care decisions – including choices regarding medical coverage".

 

Then, he goes on to say:

 

“As we face the real impact of the federal health care overhaul, this legislation will help calm our residents’ fears about being forced into a government-run health care system or being taxed for not buying insurance".

 

And, then, he says:

 

“We must stand up to an overreaching federal bureaucracy and ensure health care choices are made by patients and their doctors.”
