Howdy all...well tomarrow morning i am putting my plants into flowering and changing to the high sodium bulb, question is should i expect the same amt of heat from hs bulb vs the mh bulb? first time grower...everything has gone great so far...thanx, migreen

Well,it has been about 5 days since I posted my original question....I have changed out the 250w mh to the 250w hs and i am getting about 4 degrees to 5 dergees lower in temp...this post might be helpful in the future..all have a great day.. migreen

I think that may be just due to lower ambient temperatures......HJ

In my 1000W switchable ballast the HPS runs 2 degree's hotter in a 8x8x8 room after running a full 12 hours than the MH conversion bulb. Subsequently I could also put the MH bulb a few inches closer to the plants.
