Philips Alto Hps Bulbs

Does anyone have any knowledge about these bulbs? A fellow poster tipped me off to them yesterday as a much cheaper alternative to the Hortilux and Sunmaster 1000 watt HPS bulbs I've been using. He's getting them for $65 locally and I've seen them for $45 online. Is this a case of you-get-what-you-pay-for, or is it screaming good deal? Really, the only thing I'm concerned about is the color spectrum and the lumen output. If they last only half as long as a Hortilux it's no big deal, since I throw mine away after 6-8 months anyway.
