You Can't Legislate Against People's Appetites

Recommended Posts

Just watched this great interview of the author of Last Call, a book about the prohibition of alcohol in the 20s.

In the last minute he brings up that in the 20s you could get medicinal alcohol if approved from your doctor. You would visit the doc, get a script, run down to the local pharmacy (which is how Walgreen's became so big) and buy your alcohol.
