Medical Marijuana Card Vs Immigration?

Hello, I have an appointment set to see a doctor about getting my card. I have no worries about not getting it, I'm a shoe-in. Here's my question: I've read that people have been denied entry into Canada because they have the card. Would getting the card prevent me from visiting or immigrating to other countries? I probably can't travel or move internationally anyway, as I have a misd u and a misd a on my record from when I was young, so it probably won't persuade me much, but it'd be nice to know either way.

I must be a rumor as Canada would have no way of knowing you have a card. Even the US border patrol would have no way of knowing you have a card.

You are very ill informed, what the border patrol has said is they WILL confiscate any meds a patient has on them you will not get them back but you can enter the country, keep in mind it is decriminalized there for a small amount so if you get caught with some you got there it can be just a fine.

The question was NOT will the border patrol confiscate my meds coming into or leaving the country.

 

The Question was will the card affect my ability to travel to other countries.
