The Michigan Municipal League is holding two workshops aimed at shedding light on the state's two-year-old law allowing use of marijuana for medical purposes. The first session will be held Thursday at the Wyoming Public Library in the city just south of Grand Rapids. The afternoon workshop sets out to summarize the act passed by voters in 2008, explain its effect on communities and identify areas of the law that remain unclear.

Another session will be held April 5 at the Lansing Center in downtown Lansing.

Cost is $70 for league members and $125 for nonmembers.

Courts face a rash of medical marijuana cases, with the law raising so many questions one state appeals court judge described reading it as a “maze.”

So another way for them to make a buck, just by reading the law to people?

Hopefully someone(s) from our community can attend to make sure the truth of the law is spoken and not someones interpretation of it, LEO already does that.
