MUST READ: You will never look at The Oakland County Sheriff's office the same.

Another one of Sheriff Mike Bouchard's Internal Affairs Staff bangs a witness who he was assigned to protect.

AND GET THIS, THIS GUY IS STILL ON MIKE BOUCHARD'S INTERNAL AFFAIRS STAFF! How do these guys get away with it?

You're right! I do see them differently! Ridiculous, cheesy, and vulgar for calling themselves upholders of the law.

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. (WJBK) - Thomas Powell was charged on Saturday with two counts of criminal sexual conduct. The unpaid, volunteer softball coach is said to have had sex with two students at Rochester Adams High School. At the time, one girl was 16 and the other 17.

"A good family man. We (ran) into him at the fair one day and he had his daughter with him. It seemed like just a normal guy to me," said neighbor Dave Cinader.

His neighbors on Tallahassee Street are sadden and shocked in Rochester Hills.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Department told FOX 2 the high school girls carried on a relationship from September 2010 until as recently as this month.

"When you're in a position of authority, there's no such thing as consensual sex," said Oakland County Undersheriff Mike McCabe. "Was it forcible? Did he physically rape them? No. They both were willing participants, but in the eyes of the law they cannot give their consent."

Powell is also charged with giving prescription drugs to at least one of the students.

He even bought the girls cell phones and paid for the minutes, all to maintain a relationship with them, according to sheriff's deputies.

"He took advantage of these young ladies. They built a relationship. He was a coach, and he took advantage of that relationship," McCabe said.

Powell is being held on a $100,000 bond. He will be forced to move out of his home on the 2800 block of Tallahassee because it's roughly 1,500 feet from the school.

A spokesperson with Rochester Community Schools told FOX 2 that Powell was not an employee of the school and at the time he was asked to coach had no criminal history.

Ex-Southgate officer charged in alleged sexual assault of abuse victim

A former Southgate police officer was charged today with third-degree criminal sexual conduct after he allegedly assaulted a victim of domestic violence after taking the woman to a hotel for her safety.

Emmanuel Paravas, 42, also has been charged with misconduct in office, a five-year felony, neglect of duty, a one-year misdemeanor. The criminal sexual conduct charge carries a penalty of up to 15 years in prison.

According to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, the incident occurred on Feb. 9 after Paravas responded to a domestic violence call sometime after 1 a.m. involving a 41-year-old woman and her husband. For the woman’s safety, Paravas took her to a Southgate hotel in the 17200 block of Northline Road.

But police say he returned at about 3 a.m. and sexually assaulted the woman. Paravas, who resigned from the police department on March 10, is expected to be arraigned Wednesday in 28th District Court in Southgate.

Over the week, other police officers in Michigan have made headlines linked to allegations of sexual assault.

On Wednesday, a police officer at Wayne State University was suspended without pay after a woman said she was sexually assaulted on or near the campus at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

On Friday, Ivery Cross. a former Niles police officer was sentenced in a Berrien County court to five to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting a male jail inmate. In April, Cross pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of misconduct in office.

Like I have posted here before....

On a population basis, the rate of Homicide Convictions amongst LEOs is about 6 TIMES the general population.

And the rate of Sexual Assault Convictions amongst LEOs is about 3 times the general population.

The ONE way to reduce these numbers is via Psychological Screening with a heavy emphasis on looking for Psychopathy !!!!
