Physician Recommendation Guidelines

Several Michigan courts have directed physician's to testify about the recommendations they have provided to patients. Dr. Eisenbud of The Hemp and Cannabis Foundation Clinic testified at several trials including Bob Redden's and Torie Clark's trial. I remember a doctor in Livonia who stopped writing recommendations because he was called to testify 5 times in less than a year.

Physicians have the tools to operate safely and you should be getting your medical cannabis recommendation from a doctor who follows the protocol recently adopted by the American Association of Pain Medicine <www.medpagetoday.com/MeetingCoverage/AAPM/25601>, and developed by The American Academy of Cannabinoid Medicine <aacmsite.org>.

If Michigan medical cannabis physicians followed these established guidelines, the courts would stop demanding that doctors defend their medical opinion.
