Asthma And Mm

Have suffered from Asthma (and the side effects of Asthma meds) most of my life. Last two years began using MM and have seen a drastic improvement in my asthma symptoms and overal health (could barely exercise before, now running 5K and 10Ks on a regular basis). Have medical records to document my life long asthma and was wondering if this would qualify me for a certification. Live in Northwest Michigan and would love to find a local doctor to work with.

Asthma is helped by MMJ, but more as a secondary diagnosis to a qualifying dx. Some docs us 'muscle spasm' to qualify folks with asthma (I don't) but if you want PM and I'll see what else you might qualify under.

Update: Exchanged messages with Dr. Bob and it sounds like the side effects of my Asthma medicine are qualifiers.

 

While I am thankful that there may be a path forward for me, it is unfortunate that Asthma is not a qualifying condition on its own. I remember there being a process by which conditions could be added to the qualifying list. Does anyone have any experience with how that process works?

it doesn't my friend, they refuse to seat the committee. part of the new bills we are discussing, the ones at the senate judiciary today, is one that requires the seating of the committee to evaluate new conditions.
