The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) has recently announced that they will be reducing the cost of medical marijuana patient cards for certain groups of individuals. According to the MMCC, patients who are enrolled in Medicaid or other state-assisted healthcare programs will now be able to obtain their medical marijuana cards at a reduced cost. Additionally, veterans and active duty military members will also be able to obtain their cards at a reduced cost ($50 to $25). These changes are being made to make it easier for individuals who are in need of medical marijuana to access it. The MMCC also plans to work with dispensaries to make sure that patients can access their medication as easily as possible.
