No Trichomes Yet

I have one plant that has bud but no trics yet. This plant is a monster and healthy. I have eight others in bud with trics. This is my second grow. Anybody know what is going on or experienced the same thing?

Is the one w/out trichs a sativa ? Tall plant with narrow fan leaves.

4 foot plus tall. not branching out. Fat fan leafs. I planted afgan seed. Looks like the yield could be well over 1 ounce on the main top third of the stem.

have all the plants been flowering the same amount of time? how long ?

Some pre flowered five weeks ago, they are all close in maturity. I have a pic but don't know how to post it. The trics are at their peak white in color

So it's been 6 or 7 weeks of 12/12 and all other females have trichs. If there isn't at least some, then maybe it's not worth a spot in your plant count. Maybe it is. It's your call. Growing Cannabis is all about selection. So there should be some eliminating going on past the point of just culling the males.

And, week 4 is early for tri-chrome production. Week 4 forward, and week 6+ is more typical for packing on the tri-chromes and bud weight.

Your plants are just developing bud sites and initial flowering is just begining at week 4.

Check the gallery on this site I have two pics posted. The plants are from the same seed lot and planted at the same time. One plant does not form trics. I will sample it then determine if it should be culled. tjefferson

4 weeks might be early to make this call, unless you're at your max plant count and could replace it with something better. I've had plants that didn't look like much 4 weeks in, but by 8 weeks they looked much better.

 

Did you get these seeds from a reputable seed company, or were they 'homemade'? Second-generation seeds can show a lot of variability, depending on the genetics of the parents and grandparents. You might have some plants that flower fine in 8 weeks, but maybe the one you're worried about is just going to take a little longer...

My Afgani hash plants are slower to show than any of my other strains.

i used to run a ghs himalayan gold that was the same story. low trichs but fat buds and it would have been a dream outdoor low maintinance and very sturdy.
