The clinic that treated me for my back pain has closed. Does anyone have any idea if there is any way obtain my records?

They should belong to a larger group or network that would still have your paperwork on some file. Have you tried calling and is anyone picking up? What was the name of it? Do they have other branches that you can contact? GOod luck!

By law the clinic and your doctor has to keep your records for a certain number of years, seven I believe. At the very least they are stored somewhere that HAS to be accessible for retrieval.

 

If you can't track down the doctor or clinic that handled your care, call the MDCH, give them the info you have and ask them for any info THEY have on your previous doctor or the clinic.

 

You can also go to MDCH on the net and go to 'license verification', type in your doctor's name and it will give you a license # and a town where he / she is located.

 

Should not be too hard to get at your records.
