Yes, harvest by trichome maturity. Radio shack has a handy little handheld scope for $10.

By my count, you have at least a week or two maybe more. Some can go from seed to finish in less than 90 days, some require more.

 

You can also tell when you are close by looking at the top of the cola. It will usually grow a little tale right on top. When that gets about 1/2- 3/4" long your about there.

I found that the best way to use those 30x Radio Shack microscopes was to clip off a bud leaf from the top and bottom of the plant, put them on a table with additional light and check them out there. I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to get a clear image of a leaf still on the plant.

It's not "hair" color you go by. It's trics.

 

Hair color is genetically predetermined.

 

But, Tric's........they let you know when she is done.

 

Get a scope or Jewelers lope.

 

Then you will always know for sure!

allso you can use a set of binoculars (backwards and closeup) to look at tricomes..............
