Virg Bernero Staffer Arrested For Marijuana

LANSING, Mich. (NEWSCHANNEL 3) - A 23-year-old field staffer for the Virg Bernero for Governor campaign was arrested in Lansing Saturday on a misdemeanor marijuana charge.

 

Chad Guerrant, a student at Lansing Community College, has been suspended from the Bernero for Governor campaign effective immediately.

 

The campaign released this statement: "Of course we're deeply disappointed and hope Chad receives the help that he needs to get back on the right track. Sometimes young people use poor judgment and make mistakes. Hopefully he will learn something from this unfortunate incident."

 

"While Chad will not be associated with the campaign as his case is adjudicated, we wish Chad the best as he seeks the appropriate treatment and complies with any court-order sanctions."
