Who Protects Patients?

So I'm just wondering...who watches out for my best interest? I posted an ad that I needed a caregiver but needed someone who would provide it for a reduced rate because I'm a single parent on social security. Someone replied that I could get it for 75 an oz through him. He came to my home and I signed paperwork. I have never heard from him since. He won't return any calls. So I went back to my responses and found another caregiver. This time it was someone who has opened his own dispensary so I really thought now I'm safe. He was interested in working with me on the price and even bringing it to me. He brought me a delivery of rego for $70 and it weighed up to be about an 8th. He thought because I was older (older, not old) I was also stupid, I guess. So then I find out after the fact by text message that if I want more than homegrown I'll have to pay top shelf prices. Isn't $70 an eighth top shelf pricing already? It was gone in about 4 hours. I felt sick. It was the last of the money I had set aside for meds this month.

I would fill out the change form and take him off as your CG ASAP. Either put yourself down to grow, or get a friend that is able to grow, grow for you. I would never trust someone I didnt know with my CG status. I would trust to buy from people, but not as my CG....

 

So to answer, "Who Protects Patients?", the patients do.

Many of Us here try helping the Best We can ,

By suggesting different things , But most don't listen .

 

Online is NOT the Safest or the Best way to find a Caregiver ...

 

The Best way to find a Caregiver is going to Lots of

Compassion Meetings... Talking to People , Asking Questions ...

I was here 15 minutes and i came across this post and another

post of someone in similiar situation .

I just cannot Stress the Importance of going to Compassion Meetings...

 

Yes I know that NOT ALL ARE THE SAME ...

Yes some are about Money ...

Yes there are some Bad People out there ...

 

But i give you My Word , If you was to come to our Compassion Meeting

you would be Welcome at the Door w/ a Hugg ...

There would Be No Door Charges , There Would Be Free Coffee ,

Sometimes Bottle water or Ice Tea or Lemonaid...

Some of our Members make Cookies , We 've had Chili ....

 

All Free ... Yes we do 50/50 ... We Raffle off a few things

to help make money for our Club...

 

There is Lots of Fellowship ... We have Caregivers that give

their patients free Meds each month ...

 

I go to other Meetings up here in Northern Michigan that are

not like ours... But i do knew a few that are close ...

 

It takes Time and Lots of Effort... Getting phone numbers ...

Going to other patients house for Fellowship ...

I play Cards w/ other Patients and Caregivers ...

We Do Not Drink Alcohol , But we Always have bottle water,

half a dozen different kinds of Soda ( Pop ) and i buy coffee

by the cases ...

 

I've been over other Patients & Caregivers House and

most of them have Always been Very Compassionate ...

 

All I can Say is that it is going to be Very Hard finding

the Answers ... A Site can only do So Much ...

 

If you was up here in my neighborhood , I 'd be more then

Happy to help you ...

 

People are going to have to start banning Together ...

The Average person could give a Chit that your out of Meds

or some Caregiver took advantage of You , But i can Honestly

tell You that many here do Care ... But it's hard helping

someone behind a keyboard ...

 

All we can do is try Suggesting things to get you on the

right Track ... and Please No Matter What ...

Always Protect yourself ....

 

If you was a Member of our Compassion club ,

I would teach you for free how to grow if possible ...

 

Our Next Meeting is Tuesday , July 2oth , 2010 from 7 - 9 pm ...

From the caregivers that i know of give their patients at least an ounce a month free. There are good ones out there keep looking. Good people on this site too that will help you out.
