Clay Pellets

What is the best way to clean clay pellets? The roots really surround the pellets and other that shaking them, I cant get them off the root ball. Also, roots and other plant material is mixed in with all the collected clay pellets. How would you clean out the crud easily and quickly? Any suggestions?

call me crazy but...... i bake mine in a big pot...shake all the balls off roots, rinse them off then but in a big pot and bake on 400 for 1.5 hours..

when done all will be dry and sanitized. the left over dust is no biggie..

Well first and foremost, If you flushed your plants well enough you are half way there. I use flora clean. Than yes you must shake out the roots and pick the rest out with your hands. To rinse them get 2 5 gallon buckets, put 3/8 holes in one to use as a strainer. Put strainer in other bucket and rinse away.
