Rockwool Grow?

I recently met a buddy who is growing in rockwool. It didnt look like anything else was in his buckets. Is this method as good as hempy buckets or should i stick to my hempy method. It seemed just as easy. Anyone know the process of growing in rockwool??

Perhaps it was in an ebb flow that was empty at the time of your viewing?

 

Eventually the roots outgrow even the biggest of rock wool cube and being in a dry environment will kill those roots and the plant would die .
