Head Seeds Casey Jones?

It is my understanding that the seeds are only sold through the icmag auction site: http://www.seedbay.c...x.php?a=5&b=78. They've been in pretty high demand, though, and don't last long before the auction site sells out of all their stock.

Good choice, though! I've heard many excellent things about Casey Jones, and would love to grow her someday.

edit: H3ad has a section in the store, also: https://www.seedboutique.com/store/index.php?manufacturers_id=82. Also out of stock :(

Yeah I was able to grab there Black Giesha(which i also hear great things about) a year or so back, I wasn't really active this year so I missed the drop a few months back, so disappointed, but I know the meds have been going around here so was just curious as if anyone may have a clone or some spare seeds ...thanks for responding :)

Don't buy into hype or drops! Although I have no expierence with casey jones from Head seeds I am very familar with seedboutique and seedbay.

They sell quality genetics, but they also set up there forums and seed selling site to super hype their stuff. Post something negaitve on icmag.com and you will be banned. So, don't think for a moment that their forums are objective in any way. A "breeder" like REZ dog has a cult like following although his seeds are well known for having lots of hermies.

But, you dont' see that on his forum, because he actively deletes all negaive things about his seeds.

So, although it is probably an excellent strain, you can get some excellent results with many strains.

You will have to waste many hours, if not days in order to get the drop on Head Seeds Casey Jones. So in my opionion it would be more worthwhile to grow some trainwreck, thai, or ecsd crosses and not wait years and waste hours on some strain that is unlikely to be better that strains that are easily available.

Here is some info I found. I do think casey jones is probably very good, its just not better than many other strains. A lot of trainwreck crosses are excellent.

Casey Jones, Head Seeds

Casey Jones is a polycross of ((Trainwreck x Thai) x East Coast Sour Diesel)

In the Ed Rosenthal Book of Buds Vol.3 its says that It was bred by Head Seeds and also says the following:

“Casey Jones combines an excellent sativa mother, a TrainwreckxThai with an outstanding male from Rezdog’s Sour Diesel v3 line. The mother originated from Billy Goat Seed’s Oriental Express cross. She has a very sweet flavour, and a heady trancendent high.

Adding diesel to Trainwreck suggested the Name Casey Jones , engineer of the most famous train wrecks of all time. the sativa-dominant Casey Jones strain has an amazing high. the plant varies slightly in structure, from Thai foxtails to Diesel plumes! It retains the short ripening time of the Oriental Express Mother, finishing in about 8 weeks. Casey Jones is not overly picky, suiting the novice grower as well as the sweet toothed connoisseur.

This Variety multi-branches well, especially when trained. She prefers moderate feeding and grows to a final hieght of 30-40 inches when forced to flower at 12-16 inches. When plants grown short with a single cola (SOG style), they yield an average of 1/3 to 1/2 ounce (10-14g). Grown large and trained, plants can yield up to 3.5 ounces(100g) each,

The Buds form like towers of calyxes, tight bud clusters, creating a looser cola, with colourful pistils that vary from orange to pink. The leaves have thin blades and stems may purple late in the flowering phase.

The Casey Jones flavour is a combination of the confection-like sweet Oriental Express and the citric sour of the Diesel. The high can be felt almost immediately and lasts about an hour and a half. This strain has an up effect with vividly trippy, thought provoking quality that can lead to mental wandering. Under its effects, one may feel a stronger sense of connectedness to self and others. Its good for creative activities that can benefit from an introspective mood and don’t require intense right brain focus. Its less than ideal if you need to make plans, balance your checkbook or do other very linear activities. Go fly a kite, watch a movie, hike around in the outdoors, or engage in a little painting or other interpretive activity when indulging in Casey Jones. Do not drive a train!”

That what the Big book of Buds has to say anyways its sounds tasty, post a smoke report when you get that far!

I smoked some 2 weeks ago, it replaced Blue Dream as my favorite strain I've found since I became medical legally in July. It was literally covered in crystals and seemed to be cured perfectly. It had a slightly medicinal flavor and it tasted amazing overall. It created a sensation I can only describe as making my eyeballs and ears feel like they were connected, an effect my friend also felt. I want 3 Casey's in my stable of 12 once I can get some.

I did get *ONE* seed from mine, I don't know if it is pollen from another plant or pure Casey but I will be adding it to my next cycle to see and hope for a female!
