If there is one thing many people agree upon this election year, it is that they are sick of sleazy attack ads.

We can offer our fellow voters the opportunity to take a stance on this issue of attack ads using Schuette as an example, as he has made himself the poster boy using the Fisher case. Here is a link to the story- http://detnews.com/article/20101029/POLITICS02/10290420/Schuette-cancels-campaign-ad-after-family-complains

There are a ton of people who are undecided or weakly decided right now. If we can get this example of Schuette’s vile attack strategy in front of as many people as possible it will help swing the election. This is very strong message and quite on point for the moment.

I propose sending a chain email tonight as the last online push to stop Schuette before hitting the polling stations tomorrow.

Here is a sample chain email to send:

Help stop the sleazy political ads!!!

The sleazy political attack ads are getting out of control this year, the worse offender by far is Attorney General Candidate Bill Schuette.

The family of a fallen police officer recently had to demand that Schuette cease the exploitation of their son Owen Fisher who died while serving. The family of the Flint police officer who was killed in the line of duty have stated that the ad is “inaccurate, disrespectful and prepared without their permission.”

No one should have to ask a politician to stop exploiting their late son. It is inexcusable.

Do not choose Schuette.

Take a moment to read the following, then please send this message to ten of your contacts.

Darn. I always enjoy the "I'm outta here!" parting shots.

But still, why sacrifice your voice now? It will all be over tomorrow! And you still have this thread, at least.

Want to stop sleazy ads? Stop watching them.

My nonagenarian father took out two TVs with his new swivel chair, but rather than buy into a new HD TV system for myself, I decided to just give it up, and after a couple of months now I have no desire to ever go back to my old TV viewing habits.

Even without add-on TV hardware/software for the computer, I've since been able to selectively view what programming I care to watch (when I want to watch) and without those annoying commercials that broadcasters rudely crank up the volume on between programing (somewhere around 98% of which is mindless propagandized drivel, anyway). I watch all the football games I want to watch and even movies that are currently in theaters - all free! (I really like the alternate view cam option for the FB games.)

Now we listen to great music at dinner. We talk.

Television, like the Gulf of Mexico, has gotten polluted. It's a whore with syphilis. You watch it and you think your thoughts are your own, but the truth is you surrender your own thoughts by watching. "Obey the Giant, eh? I had to be insane to voluntarily submit to exposing myself to all those horrible mind game commercials and so-called news channels, et al, for all those years.

Turn off, log on, be you.
