Php And Mysql?

I posted here so I may get more views if needed it can be moved of course. I am setting up a small forum and it is using PHP and mySQL. I pretty much do not know how to do this stuff so any help on why I get this on the forum page

The database connection failed. Please check your database configuration in include/db/config.php. If the configuration is okay, check if the database server is running. Could it just be a password to the Database or could it be a bunch of things? Followed the instructions and figured instead of going thru everything I could just ask on here. Any help?

yes, it could be the password to the table on the DB.

thanks,, I just paid for hosting and everything last night. It has not even been 24 hours but the simple page I put up works. It is gonna be a forum for bartering Medical Marijuana. I will look into the pass first. I have several new Passwords so I could have used the wrong one.

LOL wasn't password just me forgetting some steps and also that the forum will be an index.php page wish me luck I may post URL someday or see about advertising once complete. It is gonna be simple

I think everything is working now,, anyone know a good program to edit and create CSS casscading style sheets? I am only used to frontpage
