Law Enforcement, Patients Fired Up Over Medical Marijuana Law

Editor’s Note: This is the second article in a series on medical marijuana issues in Oakland County.

 

Bill Teichman’s life was forever changed in August 2010 after his home and businesses were raided by Oakland County’s Narcotics Enforcement Team.

 

Earlier that year, Teichman had started a compassion club for residents who used medical marijuana in Waterford Township. Both he and his wife used medical marijuana. He said he presented his plan and hosted an open house with Waterford city officials and police.

 

“We were upfront and honest with everybody,” he said.

 

“We were following state law.
