MichiganMan
How often are you watering? I go by how heavy the pot is, weight it before and after watering to see when it's ready. Just give it some time, and let the plant grow, doesn't need attention 100% of the time.. Edited April 25, 2011 by MichiganMan

treehugger
The first rule everyone needs to learn is too much is worse than too little. Don't water those plants again until they start growing, there is more than enough moisture there to accomplish that task. DLD420
I use a cheap 8$ moisture meter from Lowes, just poke it in half way and if its in the dry zone or close on the meter I water accordingly. I also use the smart pots in the same size as my old plastic pots and find they use almost two times the water as before in the plastic pots Edited April 26, 2011 by DLD420

treehugger
Looks like the damage is minumal ,using smart pots will help emiminate overwatering in the long run when the roots fill out and air pruned . I often wonder if the real "secret" to the smart pot revolution is just the fact that they are highly tolerant to the normal newbie's propensity to overwater their plants...
