With everyone busy with the holidays as well as many Michigan families having tree's early December is a good time to reset the batteries in the smoke detector . Most experts say change them regardless every 6 months or when they chirp like a cricket . And dont' forget they make good gifts for patients who have none . For those in need often local fire departments can help out even in these tough times . Fire Detectors don't only save the lives of residents they save the lives of first responders who otherwise would enter a building to save lives . This is also a good time to devise your fire plan with a location outside the home where everyone can meet incase of emergency . Happy Holidays !
