Cousin Danny

A shout out of appreciation and a short rant on the physical/emotional affects on Patients prior to MSC ruling...

For those of us who have either learned about, or knew of the benefits of Cannabis, the recent Michigan Supreme Court ruling has alleviated a tremendous amount of forced stress upon our community.

But unfortunately, the legislature and law enforcements heavy hand before this ruling has had detrimental affects on many including a very close friend 'Cousin Danny'. Soon after the attacks began on our law and on us as human beings, Dan was diagnosed with cancer in his sinus cavity and skin cancer was found on his face.

All of us have the heard the horror stories of what chemo and radiation treatments do and how Cannabis shown to be very beneficial to helping cancer Patients recover and heal.

Well Dan was scared of becoming a Cannabis Patient because of the actions of LE and Lansing so he endured chemo and radiation. He developed an addiction to morphine and lost 57lbs (from 164 to 107) because he couldn't eat he finally over dosed and ended up in the hospital.

He's better now, we got him registered and he is working with a CG who is teaching him how to grow. He is slowing being taken off as many narcotic pain pills he can live without and his emotional state is more level medicating with Cannabis.

Legislators have lost sight of the reason why we elected them to represent us, they forgot about us. Unfortunately for them we don't forget and through the hard work of this community and many others I believe we played a part in the courts ruling, however small, we made a positive impact.

I believe they seen the unwarranted over-reach by some in power and they also seen the trampling of civil rights and voters wishes being ignored.

All of those violations of laws and civil liberties were highlighted and brought to the attention of anyone and everyone in Lansing and beyond who would listen by this community.

Thank You to all who kept up the fight no matter how frustrating and seemingly impossible the task at hand was, WE NEVER GAVE UP!

Stay Vigikant....Stay Vigikant....

Ed
