I am in the process of opening an art therapy studio. I would like to incorporate a compassion club within the studio which would allow painters to medicate during paint therapy sessions. I need to know what rules and regulations I may be bound by. There will be no sales or transactions of any sort. Simply on site possession and use. The facility will not be open to the public and will only operate by appointment. Please help. :) Thank you in advance!

As long as you're on private property and no cash changes hands I believe you should be fine. Compassion clubs are primarily to put patients and caregivers into contact.

The topic for August will be the upcoming ballot initiative proposed by MILegalize and the CRMLA or the Coalition to Regulate Marijuana like Alcohol. Our guest speaker is one of the leaders of the coalition and will discuss what the proposal means to patients, caregivers and anyone wishing to become part of the emerging cannabis industry.
The Coalition to Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol is a committee formed to support a 2018 ballot initiative to end marijuana prohibition in Michigan and establish a system in which marijuana is regulated and taxed similarly to alcohol. It represents a coalition of citizens, community leaders, businesses, and organizations that recognize marijuana prohibition has failed and believe it is time for Michigan to adopt a more sensible marijuana policy.
