The Michigan Municipal League's September 21 work session on Michigan's Medical Marihuana Act was standing room only.  About 70 officials from throughout the state were learning about the MMMA and different options for their communities.  Speakers included: Melanie Brim, Director, Bureau of Health Professions, Michigan Department of Community Health; Andria Ditschman, Attorney, Hubbard Law Firm; and Catherine Mish, City Attorney, Grand Rapids.

MML's 112th Annual Conference was held at the Hyatt in the City of Dearborn - September 21-24, 2010.

Yes, thank you Eric, have been watching your shows for awhile, you do very good work reporting on the issues and posting on this board. I got to meet you at Archie's trial, it was a pleasure to see you in action. Up north tv rocks for keeping us hicks in the sticks informed on what is happening in our area. :thumbsu: :thumbsu:

This first woman to speak, you can tell she doesn't like cannabis one bit, and she looks down on those of us who know the truth. Just listen to her words, when speaking about the paperwork becoming valid ID after 20 days, the example she gives includes someone trying to fool the cops with a copy of their paperwork after only 2 days LOL! She's playing to the crowd alright. What a tool

I wonder what her pastor has her to do for repentance for being involved with such a sinful thing...

Her choice of words, and body language says it all. Going back to finish watching ...

MML IN THE NEWS

Commission suggests scrapping medical pot law: http://news.cmich.edu/wcmu_news/2010/10/commission-suggests-scrapping.html

The piece says that "A study commissioned by local governments says Michigan's voter-approved medical marijuana law has so many holes it should be scrapped and re-written. According to William Matheson with the Michigan Municipal League, the only way that will happen is if and when a federal judge rules state medical marijuana laws are preempted under the U.S. Constitution by federal drug laws."

That sounds exactly like what Grand Rapids City Attorney, Catherine Mish, was advocating during the September 21 seminar that I filmed.
