1500 Watt Ballast/bulbs

I was at my local grow shop yesterday. they were stocking their new 1500 watt ballasts and bulbs. I have enough heat issues with 4/1000's. I would need a chiller to upgrade but in a single light set-up I think one would rock!

They are unbelievably inefficient. Too much heat and not enough lumens for the increased E bill. I think you already have it covered with 4 1000s

600watt light - you deal with about 2,500 BTUs of heat, with 1,000 watt light, you deal with 4,000 BTUs. The reason no one uses 1500watt systems is they are more heat than usable lights.

I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to contain the heat with a second 1000 watt system in the mix....lol.

I run 4-1000w with a single 8pm fan. I pull air from an upstairs room and cycle it right back to heat the house, works great. Grow Room never goes over 77. However I do run AC during the summer.
