What's The Difference Between A Religious Revival

I have been wrestling with this question for a few days and thought maybe I could get some good answers here.

I draw a comparison between the two because it always strikes me that the people who attend these religious functions appear at times to have consumed drugs. They get all pumped up and start jumping around or wringing their hands or acting like they are possessed. In contrast, MM social smokers are usually very calm and self conscious, their calmness only occasionally punctuated by some good belly laughs.

Why is it that society condones the outward (and awkward) display of neuroses evident at religious meetings yet heaps recrimination upon peaceful marijuana smokers?

I also thought this question could be a good joke with the right punch line.

Those, like Abraham (or Moses, I can't remember), who sneak out to the holy tent for a toke now and then?

Chuckle .. Kristianos .. little anointed ones.

The anointing was so central to the new religion that it was named after it.

The main crime that Jesus was accused of was making the anointing available to everyone. He took what was in the holy of holies and gave it to everyone.

And healed a lot of people.
