Start A Garden...Not A War!

Recommended Posts

May 5th, 2012 is right around the corner and its time again for the 12th Annual Global Marijuana March at Grand Circus Park in Detroit.

This year will be a very special year as the March lands on the same day as Cinco de Mayo and a Tigers Home Game against the Red Sox starting at 4:05pm. MI Norml had a strong presence last year and I would recommend having as many signature gatherers as possible this year to manage the crowds heading to Tiger Stadium.

\\

There are vending opportunities available this year for an equal split amongst all to cover the fees to the City of Detroit only. The price for a booth is 150.00 and 300.00 for Food Vendors. Non Profits with information only will be free. Keep in mind this is a tiger’s home game and there will be a Few Thousand people buzzing around Grand Circus Park because from where we’re at you can almost throw the opening pitch!

For more information please contact heidi@downrivercommunity,org or call 734-931-0620

The Itinerary for the Day is below and will be updated as we go.

Retired Detroit Police Officer Daniel Solano spoke at last nights' (5/16/12) public meeting of the MOCC (Rosevile) He's been an advocate for mmj for 12 years, is a Patient (injured on his police job), and emphasized the 4 bills coming up in the Senate are going to PASS--unlesss we get to Lansing and speak to our Senators (esp. the Democrats). The proposed 4 gut the law the people put in place, will result in many many more prosecutionS of Patients and CGs. A caravan is being organized for next week for people (VOTERS) who care if the law is gutted, to go to Lansing to speak to Senators.to put the mmj's community's concerns before those who are about to kill off many of the rights the MMMA of 2008 granted us. Please help keep your rights and plan to go.

BTW wud a mod please say how to start a new thread on this board? Anyone? Wud have posted it as new thread but can't find how.
