The article seems positive are they part of MMMMA Unity agreement ? There are so many little cliques , we fragment and fragment because no orginization has been able to figure out how to keep everyone under their umbrella . Personally I don't agree with this group it seems to be agitation to obtain a highly reglated environment that appeared about the same time the MMMA started to fragment .There are definitely new players in the sandbox everywhere that smell money . The problem is dehabillitated patients don't have incomes to support what everyone desiring to profit wants . Then they arrest the little caregivers who help people in a reasonable manner .

They are the Nature's Alternative Dispensary in Detroit on the Grosse Pte border. My guess is that since their principal competitor (within walking distance) is Big Daddy's(MACC) they felt the need to start their own organization. Just guessing, I have never met the players, but did see them testify in March at the hearings.

With the civil rights letter you wrote . A dozen or so of the worst comments , demographics for the actual income of patients , a great presentation supporting Farmers Markets and better rights could be put together . Not a Joe Cain licensed market but ones provided by communities for program participants to opereate in one area to engage in medical use and make sure patients have every opertunity in a safe manner find someone they feel comfortable with to sign up with when they can no longer leave home in advanced terminal and chronic disease states . Where patients can also use medication in private and exchange information about coping with their diseases and injury . This is not alchohal it is not toxic it should not be treated differently then all other medications one adjusts to and self evaluates before driving . You would think the courts would take into consideration were just starting implementation and not send people to prison for aiding patients who will die before their card can be issued like up in Kalkaska . We have plenty of honest grievences . We are not alone as long as we keep things civil when we have differences and care about eachothers often unsolveable situations of decline and how they can effect us as we learn to deal with them .It is not unsual to melt down and make mistakes one learns and recovers from .

washtenaut When it comes to the readers comments no matter the miracle written about or someone being arrested the public who are not educated about it's uses or who thrive on anger always come out against marijuana in a big way. They don't talk about medical marijuana and when they do they make it into a big joke. They have no clue as to what this plant will actually do. All we can do is try to educate them without anger because comments that retaliate in anger just add fuel to the fire, that has been made quite evident in our own community, then our message is lost.

Agreed. I just posted about the negative comments as a reference to another ongoing discussion thread. In that other thread, posters said we shouldn't have had a rally because after the Lansing State Journal article covering the rally, some reader's comments were negative. I was trying to point out that you can't control everyone.
