The FDA is using the holidays to hide its final steps in approving GM frankenfish salmon. Once approved, there will be no stopping frankenfish or any other monstrosity Agribusiness wants to cram down our throats.

The FDA Forbids Labelling Non-GM Salmon

There’s a reason that the FDA chose salmon as its first ruling on genetic labelling. It was an indication of their intent to approve GM salmon—and to prevent us knowing when we buy GM foods. This is Gaia Health’s report from 2010, now about to become critical as GM salmon’s about to be approved.

Now, does anyone really think the Republicans are pushing for smaller government and less of those "stifling" regulations in order to make your life better? This is a good example of what they want to do.

Freedom Works! The Tea Party's organization. They want freedom. The freedom to do whatever they want to you and not be held accountable.

hey, don't blame the fda. here's another angle:

lobbyists are people too my friend.

or, the lobbyists on k street constitute a fourth branch of government. the gm lobby, the israel lobby, the gun lobby, the war lobby, the healthcare lobby, they all count more than the welfare of the common man. who's up for a return to only three branches of government? sorry, it might already be too late.

just sayin'.
