Police Seize Hundreds Of Marijuana Plants In Calhoun, Kalamazoo County Bust

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – A Michigan State Police investigation resulted in seizing of over 250 marijuana plants and over twenty pounds of marijuana in Calhoun and Kalamazoo County earlier this week.

The warrants were served on Tuesday, December 1 in Battle Creek, Springfield, Emmett Township, Bedford Township and Newton Township in Calhoun County and one warrant was served in Kalamazoo County.

Police say that the year-long investigation began with multiple tips from concerned citizens. Detectives say they conducted numerous hours of surveillance at several locations.  Police say it was apparent that the operation was outside the scope of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act.

The Southwest Enforcement Team executed the warrants. The investigation is continuing and no one has been arrested at this time.
