"Off-site" grow facility

I'm a CG and have a grow room in my house. Is there anything in the law that would prevent me from setting up an "off-site" grow facility?  Meaning, could I rent/lease a building that is not located on my property to set up a grow room? I would, of course, raise only the number of plants - 12/patient, legally allowed.
