I have never grown before would it work to start with the sea-of-green bucket kit with the 150w HPS light? It is pretty affordable and seems like it would do fine for one plant. Just wondered what you guys thought.

One plants going to take you 80-100 days and how much will you be able to pull off such a small hps even with sog?

 

I think you need to grow at least 3-6 plants to get a decent supply on hand.

Yeah I don't know very much yet I had just read a few different places that 150W per plant was good. I am not a big smoker I have used in over 5 years and I think last time a 1/4oz lasted well over 1 month. I guess I will see what I can afford and go from there. Thanks for the help.

It will grow one plant reasonably well. I would think about going to at least 250 or 400 just because you will want to increase at some point. 250 will grow one plant very well but will also do ok for 2 or 3. And if you want to go for a full 12 you can use this light for veg & add one for flower. Another issue if your only going to have one light is to think about a switchable ballast.

Im by Far No Master Grower...

But what i can say did help me the most was to go

see how other people are growing ...

 

No one here knows your situation ...

Nor do they know what you can afford ...

or the amount of the room you can grow in ...

 

If you seen mine , You would Chit ...

I went w/ 0ne 400 watter to start w/ , Now I'm at two 400 watts

 

My plan was to get one good mother plant and start cloning ...

Then start vegging till they were approx. 18-24 inches tall

and put one new plant into bloom every 30 days and has done

very good for me ....

 

But Anyways... Sure wish you were close to me ...

Seeing how others are doing it w/ your own eyes is

the Best way to learn ... At least it is for me ...

 

I would suggest doing what you got to do ...

You WILL BECOME ADDICTED ... LOL

They look good,, I wish I could see some in person somewere LOL that would help me out. I don't have my card yet though and it will be sometime since I only have a DR. appointment the 30Th of this month. I am approved so I am sure I can send papers in that day or the next to the state.

In a perfect world you would want 1000 watts for every 5X5 and of coure it depends on what

method you are growing and system but for me in my soil I keep it at 5 plants per light.

 

If you lollipop youd put many more under there of course.
