Bonsai Wire/supercropping

I have been doing Bonsai's for years. Has anyone ever tried using a light guage bonsai wire for supercropping??

The only thing I might be a little concerned about is the wire getting too warm for the branches. The lighter

I just use that twist tie wire and weights to hold down the branches:

 

 

This is one single plant. It measures about 3.5' x 3.5' and is about 12" tall.

i use 'yarn' from my wife's stash.. works great, cheap, and cuts easy when its harvest time..
