Is it true you can only clone from a plant in vegetative state?

I have no experience with this but I have seen pictures of clones with tiny buds on them, seemed like early flower. I'd just do it to plants in veg though, unless you have no other option.

You most certainly can but they are very touchy and take twice as long.

Yes you can take cuttings from flowering plants and they will root. The earlier the better. I wouldn't take cuttings past week 3. Also, these cuttings should come from the lowest branches of the plant that show the least amount of flowers.

I agree with fisher. I have taken cuttings from a plants 2 weeks into 12/12 and they are doing great. Give them more time under 24/0 to revert back to veg.
