400W Hps?

I am upgrading from my CFL pc grow to a 400w hps in a cabinet. My question is do you think I will have a major problem with heat? I will have this in a cabinet that is 61" high,14" deep, and 30" wide. I figure I could probably grow 2 plants in there. I also got a small carbon filter and 4" inline fan. Will a couple small fans in there be enough? Let me know what you think.

yeah i think you will be fine.

 

im not sure on your set-up..... is this a closet/cabinet that can have the door open during lights on?...... or is this a stealth cab?

 

if stealth, you are going to want an exhaust fan for sure........ nothing big..... just something to help.

It is a cabinet I can open doors. That light is freakin bright LOL used to my little cfl's so I would not want it open much. What would I use for exhaust? would the inline with the carbon filter work? I went budget style so it is low end products from htgsuppley but for 270 I got the light,inline fan,carbon filter, and some mylar. I have a little more money so if I need an exhaust fan I could get it.

400 watt hps is perfect for cabinet grows and are easy to maintain temperatures just add a small fan on both sides of the cab to push air across your girls.

yeah gonna need lots more money though,, got the room above garage that is 12x24 that I can use.

Very true i started off the same way cfls then a t-5 4 bulb setup then a 400 then a 600 now a 1000 watt sysytem in a monster hood growing bud is an addicting hobby.

So far loving it king Hopefully this weekend I can get things set up. Been really really busy but I did pop a new roadrunner seed another auto but still fun.
