BELMONT, Mich. (May 1, 2014) — Police said they confiscated 66 mature plants and a high-tech churn used to make marijuana butter during a marijuana grow operation raid Thursday in Belmont.

The raid was conducted on Herrington Avenue near Belmont Avenue by the Metropolitan Enforcement Team, according to MIchigan State Police.

Mature plants with a street value between $3,000 and $4,000 each were discovered in two separate buildings along with several pieces of high-tech equipment, including the churn.

Police also said they also seized grow lights and hydroponic growing systems, among other pieces of equipment.

The case is currently under review by the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office, who will determine if any charges will be filed against the homeowner.
