My Dr. Quit Me Today Because I Have Mm In My System

Your a very nice person, but unfortunatly like me, you already told every one what you are doing by posting on here, leo is watching us!

 

Well, that was a chance I choose to take. I didn't know much about MM and had to find out what I needed to know on-line because of they way they worded the law. As long as I'm within my limits I'm not going to stress about it until LEO knocks on my door.

 

Thank you for sharing the info on the doctor. Hopefully things will settle down for you. It seems that LEO in Wayne County isn't as aggressive as the northern counties, or the media isn't picking up the stories.

My family dr. dropped me today because I have thc in my system! she Is a n.p and she said the m.d she works under will not let her see any patients who test pos for thc, yes I have my card, and I did ask them first for the recomendation, they would not do it. so i went else where, I have been going to the same office for over 10yrs, never had to do a urine screen till today, wasnt even given the opertunity to test again in a month, once they knew i had an mm registry card they said they cant see me no longer, They would rather me be on methadone and xanax, and cymbalta, flexirils. serequel,and mortrin 800, oh yea and cialis of course! go figure!

 

Is there anything in the law for this? not that i would even think of going back, im just not used to being let go by a dr. I usualy fire them, they quit on me! any opinions?

 

Hey sorry about your difficulty's I am in about the same boat as you but my doctor has changed his attitude towards me for inquiring about MM. Told me he would prescribe fetnyl fetenall i dont know how to spell it because I told him I would like to do the MM treatment. So I dont understand how they think Guess it is an educational issue..Well going to Southfield next Week to the clinic to get my script anyways But I will Not tell them about it for obvious reasons. A little far from me! Im most likly going to the one that wrote my rec, he is in gladwin, Im staying over in iosco county any one have any dr.s over near tawas area? Just trying to keep the trip mileage down, not the best time of year for me cash wise! P.b I got that covered been in the game long enough, I always take a dose of meds the nite before and the morning of my dr. vistits, just in case, this time they got me with methadone, xanax,thc. all 3 legal, the methadone and xanax was written by this dr. the only prob they had was the thc, (did i mention I asked them for a copy of the urine screen so I could send it to my prob officer. dr, said you sending it with thc in your system, I said yes its legle and im allowed to use it by law!) yep gotta save a few, sometimes I do need them, depending on the mm im using, but usualy I only do prescriptions on the days i said , unless im having a real bad day! and I dont need a butt load of them pills in my house, You know?

Ok I got my medical records yesterday from the dr. who had been treating me the better part of 10 yrs. The last entry in my records explained my disability and had a list of the 11 medications dr. was writing me. it also stated in their that i was given a urine screen. it noted i tested positve for thc. the dr. noted that she talked to me, and said she thinks im a drug abuser!?! now she has been writing me prescriptions for years, sometimes putting me on other meds such as serequel, paxil,ativan. I did not aske for these meds, no where in my med records does it say anything about me being drug dependent or an abuser except the last entry. Now because I choose to use MM for my pain and anxiety IM a DRUG ABUSER! I have all of my medical records from this place, I havent been able to get a dr. appt until the 27th of this month, which would put me w/o methadone 10 mg for pain, and xanaz 1mg for anxiety not to mention all of the other meds they have been writing me. the last time i was taken off of these 2 meds i deeteed and when i took one dose of each i oded, she stated that ogemaw county could have killed me from taking me off of them meds cold turkey. she claims that I did not od that the problem was detoxing, either way i was in icu for over 20 hrs unconsiuos!

 

Now she is taking me off cold turky,(or at least she thinks she is) Is there anything I can do about this, (dont get me wrong they can keep their stinkin rx I never got back on them when i got released from the hospital, but she has been writing them for me. I only take a have dose when i go see the dr. just in case they want to do blood work or give me a urine screen. once in a while I do need to do a pain med, not too often and not when i have good mm available(which no thanx to a stinkin idiot c.g i just remove) I have. when you read these records you can clearly see the are discriminating against me because i choose to use mm. on every single visit to this dr. it says I have chronich back pain. ashtma, copd, hypoclycemic,and some other hypo bull pucky!

hey man... really sorry to hear all the trouble you are going through. it just doesn't seem right that a dr can do this kind of crap does it? they should not be permitted to throw you out for mmj use... bottom line.

 

if you aren't concerned too much with everybody knowin your business you should get ahold of a couple of news agencies. maybe exposing this type of thing to the people of michigan will galvanize the issue... might make doctors think twice before ditching a mmj patient in the future. of course, i am too chicken-sh*t to do something like that so i can't say that i blame you if you keep this under the proverbial hat.

You should consult with an attorney. First of all where does it say in any law that doctors have the right to just kick you out and refuse you medical care. You have just been refused medical care...I don't think they can do that, but maybe they can. I know they can stop giving you pain meds etc but refuse medical care and make you go cold turkey...... Until someone stands up and sues the flower out the these uncaring money hungry muffin makers this is going to continue.

 

I'm the next one to get kicked out.....I am due for drug testing in the next month or so.

I am paranoid enough dont need me darn face all over the news! I wouldnt mind trying to get some kind of legal action done if i possibly could!

 

I called them today! I told them that I cant get into my new dr. untill the 27th of this month, I asked them if i should just go check into the hospital, since that is what happened last time I was taken off meds, They asked me the name of my new dr. I gave it to them and the Phone number, They must have called to verify if I had an Appt or not, they called me back and said they would write my script to cover me until the 27th. I realy dont think their is alot I can do now! If I needed to ween off of my meds, they are giving me plenty of time, It must not be to clear of a law, because I dont see why they would even write the script, if they were not worried about me ending up in icu, I could be wrong, wouldnt mind hearing from an attny or someone that understands the law better than me.

If you are referring to the urine test how do you not consent to giving them tinkle in a jar? If you handed it over with out asking what its for its your own fault, but use common sense.
