drtarzanmd
Morning Everyone ... I know has there been a few post in the Past , But i wanted to ask again w/ the Hopes that someone might of found something better and easier .... I use a 30X Illuminated Microscope , like the one below http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TWR33Q/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_3?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0009K6K0A&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0RSNPYBKRAEFTQ6DRJMF and it works pretty good ... But w/ my eyes not always working so well , Sometimes its Hard for me to see ... Is there something out there that may be EASIER for Me ? Something w/ a Larger Upclose View ? There has to be something out there for Us ? Something Easier to Focus in on the leaves ?

mibrains
Thanks Bubblegrower ... But the HOLE is TOO Small .... I Never thought I'd ever say that ... LoL It's too hard for me to hold the Bud still and to focus in on the leaves ... I 'm sure there HAS to Be Many like me Struggling to see Clearly .... yep me too i have the same problem and right when i do focus i somehow move up or down slightly and loose the spot... very troubling i thought it was just me being unsteady... Marty from our club bought one of those usb cameras from kmart for like 20$ and it works awesome, but he has to clip a bud and bring it to his computer area / tv to see it. i dont want to do that. i am like you Dr. T i want a larger field of view. so i can see more area of the bud, i think less magnification. i am looking for a magnifying glass like i had in grade school to burn leaves...(and ants) with a big ole handle so i can hold it nicely. Grow Thread
you can also just clip bud leaf and get a feel for the trich color without snipping a whole bud.... those with a laptop have no problems
boroboro
+1 to Bubblegrower's suggestion -- cut off a leaf! I thought these little scopes were impossible to use -- until I tried clipping off a bud leaf, placing it on a table, and putting the scope down on the table too. Everything is much more stable that way, and the bud doesn't move around. The field of view is still tiny and horrible, though. I usually shine a bright flashlight on the bud leaf also, the built-in light on my little pocket microscope doesn't seem bright enough. TajMahal
Same problem here DrT. Even clipping off a leaf to view under the radio Shack pocket scope leads to frustration with the tiny field of view. I want to be able to get an overall view of where the Trics are at, one little peep hole does not tell the whole story. Other than a USB scope, (good one) a stereo eyepiece quality microscope would be the best bet. All them scopes can be viewed on ebay. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1311&_nkw=microscope&_sacat=See-All-Categories
curegiver
There is nothing better than using a pro camera with the right lense/filter/lighting. Sony A100 w/ MACRO 2.8f/100. I like being able to zoom in and analyze the photo. Using a handheld microscope sux so bad. Edited March 3, 2011 by curegiver
