  1. Don't forget the impact that alcohol prohibition had on cannabis too... With the lifting of it, that had to do something with all the agents that were smashing alcohol till 33. Please don't nail me for being racist with this comment, I am not racist... But after all the white folk got to have their hooch, of course they would go after the non white folks, the white public would have been, er, livid if they were pursued again so soon after finally getting their hooch back... and cannabis was more popularly used by blacks and hispanics at the time. So it would make a lot of sense to send those agents formerly nailing the white folks intoxicants out to start nailing non whites intoxicants. After a while, cannabis became an intoxicant for whites too, and publicly picking on blacks and hispanics was not quite so tolerated anymore.. So it came into fashion to pick on white groups, like hippies, jewish folks, and commies to drive the point home. It is indeed, ridiculous that there has been so much nastiness and fear tied up in one silly weed for so long. That's why, pass or fail, I'm glad that the legal issues keep getting pushed. It's about darn time that we all realize that cannabis knows no color or creed...

  3. I've wondered something reading about the ways people treat and use their MM. I see some people advocate using chemicals in the manufacturing of meds and for cleaning devices used for consuming. Like butane for honey oil, or chemical cleaners for bongs. It also seems like most people that prefer MM like it greatly in part because it is more natural, not some crazy chemical from the lab. So... If one does not like the pharmaceutical chemicals... I would like to think no one here would huff butane or cleanser... Why use a chemical to process MM into something that is consumed? If you wouldn't huff butane, why use it to make oil? If you wouldn't like to put your mouth right over a bottle of cleanser and deeply inhale, why would you clean an inhaling device with it? (I know, rinse well, but still) If it is not a substance you would readily eat, drink, smoke, inhale, rub into your skin.. Why would you use it in the preparation or consumption method? Isn't that kind of like saying.. Hey pharmaceutical companies, I don't want your chemical cocktail, I'll blithely use my own. CMA: I know tons of people prefer "natural" forms. Have fiscal and legal reasons for preferring MM too... I've just seen enough chemical users that it makes me wonder...
  4. I wasn't sure if I should do a blog, or just a thread in the LGP section. I decided on a blog to break up subjects without interrupting threads. This blog is about interesting ethics. Just some twists and turns I've noticed that I am curious about. If you take time to check it out and comment as to your take on the subject, that would be great! Thanks!
  5. CMA- Cover My *ss... when you add a disclaimer. Like, CMA: I'm not a layer, but.. I use this one a lot pretty much everywhere but here. Folks here seem to think twice before hopping on ya for what you say here. I suppose here it could apply more to "How do I CMA from LEO?" PFM- Pure effing Magic HSB- Holy Sheepsh*t Batman... This is one used by a buddy on another forum, always makes me laugh. GTFO- Get the eff out.. used among some hunters I know. RFTH- Run for the hills.. used interchangeably with GTFO. RC or FC- Research Check or Fact Check. Like you are requesting information, or telling someone they need to go look stuff up. OP- Original Post. OPr- Original Poster. Less commonly used And bunny muffin... had to go into the chatroom here to find out what that was. Funny stuff, wish more forums had that for it's cuss sensor.
  6. Yeah.. HEPA might be the way to go... I think cannabis pollen is 20 micron range or so in size, so a good filter might work. On the other hand, it is called weed for a reason You might want to take that foliage down. For one, less pollen to worry about spreading... For two, if you got your down low grow going on, do you even want to vaguely risk the LEO's attention with a bunch of wild growing in the back yard?
  7. I think most bartering wouldn't be applicable for declaring... For instance, If I make a half dozen caps for your wife, and in return you come over to my house and cut down a tree in my backyard. That's just doing favors. Even if it is more money tangible... If I do a tune up and oil change on your car, and you give me a little bag in return, and I don't turn around and sell it or anything like that.. It's still doing favors. I suppose if you were trading bags for homemade goods, then selling those goods at your local farmers market, that might be starting to get questionable.. But when you make a trade on a handshake and honor... there really isn't much that's traceable unless you're handing over cash... And even then, if the cash amounts were very low, it could be counted as a tip... And you can get away with a few bucks in tips before you have to start reporting it.
  8. Wow... this thread should get it's own bar under trading and stuff... Have it sub titled with upper and mitten, maybe somewhat regional from there? I bet a lot of us have talents that could be useful
  9. I'm rather dubious about using chemicals like oxy-clean and lysol. Those are products generally not recommended for cleaning objects that will be making oral contact. And using any product that leaves a scent behind means some compounds are being left behind to be sucked up later, and I'm not comfortable with that either. I like using salt far better than rice. Rice does work nicely, but salt dissolves. If you get a bit stuck in a nook, it will dissolve back out. I tend to use kosher salt instead of any other because that is what kitchens use to safely scour the glass inserts in thermal carafes. It dissolves slower than table salt, and is less abrasive than sea salt Kosher salt is cheap too, a big box will last forever if it's just used for cleaning. Nice benefits of rubbing alcohol is that it's cheaper and safer than most chemicals. Alcohol kills germs very well too. Wait till walgreens or somewhere like that has the big bottles on sale for a buck each, and stock up. Or go to the dollar store, it's cheap there too. One big bottle is enough for at least a couple cleanings depending on the size of the bong. One can use it for smaller glass pieces too, just soak them for a while and pretty much all the gunk flushes right out when rinsed. But whatever you use, I strongly recommend flushing throughly with hot water after just to make sure your glass is as clean as possible. Think food and medical safety since this is something coming into oral contact, and clean accordingly.
  10. mmmm, I have always had a fondness for smoked bass, lmao!
  11. It really does depend on what you are making if you need heat or not... Like Ms. Chocolate said, some preparations are heat processed, some are cold processed. Dizzys thread about heat is rather nice, as are PB's numbers in this thread.
  12. I've used kosher salt and rubbing alcohol. Only have used it on a glass bong, so I'm not sure if it would be the best method for non-glass. Alcohol first, let stand for a few min, then add salt. Swirl real good and pour out. Rinse with hot water. Repeat if necessary.

Yay, finished! You have now made a sleek scrubber that can fit into a lot of locations! They are light enough that it can be hung easily from celings, walls, and rest easily on the floor. Clamp onto the end of a cheap bathroom box fan, clamp if desired, and place.

Done taping: When you are done, the filter should look like this. Note how little the whole filter roll bulks out from the hardware cloth roll. If you look at the ends, you can see how the final filter barely overlaps, but does so completely.

Third layer: Filter lapping onto first charcoal. Roll it again.
