I'm curious where everyone draws the 49 plant law from, Federally?

 

How and why are 49 plants at a single location so important?

I believe GL is right. They get a boner at 49 for some reason. Hell I think it's less than that isn't it?

That's how I understand the Federal mandatory minimum laws. 100 plants.

 

I don't understand the source of the 49 plant rule.

Under federal sentencing guidelines, each plant in a garden with 49 or fewer plants is considered equivalent to 100 grams of dried marijuana. In a garden with 50 or more plants, each counts as 1,000 grams

50 to 99 plants = Not more than 20 years

 

100 to 999 plants = Not less than 5 years, not more than 40 years

shouldn't the feds be MMJ patients alone? these dinosaur rules are going to be left into place till the very end of this prohibition to suck whatever money they can out of the people.

Im sorry people but if you cant grow enough meds with 49 plants, you realy need to start doing something different! that is almost 10 plants per patient times 5, you realy should have no problem keeping up with med demands if you have everything in the rite rotation, and I would have to say that is enough even if you experience some kinda loss, stay safe and under 49 even though you are leagal and can grow 72 plants for yourselff and 5 patients,

DAMNED good reason to work on getting the Federal drug laws changed I would think.

 

We need RATIONAL and REASONABLE laws in place at BOTH the State and Federal levels.

I got busted with 83 plants in my garden in 2006. The law is 2-200 anymore than 2 up to 200 is the same charge. I thought it was 99 or 100. My lawyer who cost me almost 20,000 informed me of the laws in 2006. He must have known what he was talking about, I'm here typing this!!!! LONG LIVE FREEDOM!!!! My charge was Manufacturing with intent to deliver.

What if you are a caregiver and have 5 separate areas with all the information on each patient? Are they still going to have this "boner" out for you?

Even with seperate cargivers for each patient or each group of 5 patients...

 

The Feds will want to charge everyone with everything

 

Just keep it at 49 or less

 

Better yet keep it at 19 or less for the lowest category in state law

That's strange, I cant wait for it to be legal for medicinal use in all states. The laws are way too vague.
