I am not as seasoned as most of you. I havent had the pleasure of having more than a dozen maybee premium strains. Therefore I am not great at giving smoke reports but here goes...

 

 

Sour Strawberry ( Strw Cough x Sour Diesel )

 

Probably the best tasting bud I have had. Smooth smoking with subtle berry flavor. 1-2 tokes will get you there 3-4 hits for a long buzz ,No couch lock. You can smell it through the bag. Plant has 8-9 week flower

Little smoke report? Same goes for Third Dimension and Lemon Cake - and everything else. How does it taste? Smoke? Effects, etc?

 

Subcool's 3D is one of the most "potent" strains i have ever smoked. the initial taste is a nice bouquet of melons with a hint of pine on exhale. it expands in the lungs rather uncomfortably, but after the 4 minute cough session, one often gets to that "ok im cool" point after just a hit or 2.

 

its a cross of jack the ripper and apollo 13. very stout cannabis for sure.

 

very very sativa dom. not good for bubblehash. nearly zero bud leaves, and the fan leaves are very sativa-like.

Type : Mostly sativa

Flowering : Photoperiod

Genetics : Apollo-13 x Jack The Ripper

Flowering Time : Medium

Outdoor Harvest : Sept / Oct

Height : Medium

THC Level : High

Characteristics : Tropical flavors range from Coconuts, pineapples, Kiwi and fruit punch

 

 

it also advertised a 45-50 day flower period, and for once, they got it spot-on. 45 days is all it takes for 25% amber trics.

 

very uppity head high. almost zero laziness on the body. does not promote hunger or thirst.

 

very low yielding plant compared to most. 1.5 oz at best on a 30 day veg from my pheno.

it just makes up for the low yield yeah

 

they get SUPER TALL in the 2 week stretch. tripling in height is very common. so a longer veg period just gets me into trouble

 

i actually usually only veg them for 20 days and yield about an ounce. but thats an ounce every 65 days TOTAL grow time. and a POTENT ONE TOO

bit more on the 3D. it does smell during cultivation. a pretty serious amount. but the smell is more of a vegetable garden than of a cannabis plant.

 

the smell of the dried plant can be nauseating at times. popping the lid on the jar and taking a big whiff personally makes my stomach turn. it smells of rotten canteloupe in its smokable state.

 

fairly easy to grow. it doesnt need anything real special.

 

it is a spidermite hotel. you could probably put 50 plants of different strain in a room and let a single mite loose and it would pick this plant

 

on the other hand.......... if you have a mite prob, just grow a 3D plant for a couple weeks in the same room. all the mites will hop on it and then you can just burn the plant

 

its almost that bad.

 

the long thin leaves constantly curl under, nearly clawing, and that seems to make for a perfect mite habitat. the plant has no objections to an "every 5 day" spray of neem oil though.

 

as a grower, its not a plant you want to try to provide for a bunch of patients at the same time. the yield is just too low to keep up with a mass production thing.

 

but you can bet i ALWAYS have a jar of 3D close to me........... and a personal plant tucked away in some vast corner of a room to keep that jar full.

i think i have to keep throwing disclaimers up for some reason??

 

the way that my 3D came about was weird altogether........... and i want to say a few things more now

 

i do not know this strain as well as i know others. it is very possible that another mother is going to yield much more than mine.

 

i had purchased 10 reg widow beans and received 6 free beans with my order. they were 6 free reg 3D beans. i grew them all out together....... all 16 plants.

 

of the 3D i have 5 MONSTERS and one little trooper. wouldnt ya know it............. the 5 monsters were male...... by the way, these grow FUNNY when sexing......... better to wait too long than to make an incorrect male/female judgment. i nearly did. as a matter of fact i went back through my trash a week later to confirm

 

anyways i was left with one girl out of the bunch and she was by far the weakest of them all.

 

fact. after i chopped the males out of that garden and got over the 2 week stretch, i gave up on the 3D. i decided the whole "free bean" deal was a bust this round and my concentration went to the widow plants.

 

after sexing and the 2 week stretch i had enough characteristics from the widow plants to know which ones i wanted to clone for further research. so i took my clones and into the process they went.

 

over the next few weeks, those clones rooted and small plants began to veg........... and in the meantime, the original crop went to harvest. my first smoke on the weakling 3D plant.

 

blew my fuggin mind out of my skull.

 

i was surprised, depressed, and REALLY REALLY HIGH at the same time.

 

i had given up on the strain. the one weak female (weak compared to the males anyways) had deterred me. now i had a little over an ounce of some of the best smoke ever........... and that was it. there was no more. i never took clones. i gave up.

 

so i protected that jar with my life and began to look for more beans.

 

then the clones went into flower. within a week i had one plant that TOWERED above the rest. within 2 weeks i knew that i had accidentally chopped a lower off the 3D thinking it was a widow branch. the best and dumbest mistake ever.

 

i still had the 3D

 

and still do today.

 

someday i would like to get my hands on another round of beans and try again.......... but for now, the skinny tall stature of my pheno works good for me. i can stick a plant in any corner, and it grows up instead of out.
