How Obama Saved Capitalism And Lost The Midterms

Recommended Posts

We received a check for $250 to help cover the "donut hole" gap for prescription medicines until there's a better fix. That helps a lot. When you say "Obama made sure," you should consider that both parties had a hand in it's final form. You might also consider that the changes made to the reforms reflect the Republican proposals of the Clinton years.

Yeah well funny when it came to anything crappy that happened in the bush administration (not that i supported or support him either) was all his fault..Now that this new puppet is in office hes a new shade of president therefore nothing he does can be wrong lol...its kinda silly...Both sides had a hand in us going to war but EVERYONE blamed bush because a few member from both sides cried that they were lied to....I am just glad people are waking up from the Obamahaze kush they were smoking for a while..

No there is a lot of what Obama did that was wrong. He promised to keep health care reform transparent but it ended up being the same old closed door crap. He promised to get us out of Iraq but left 50,000 troops behind and declared we were no longer there. Reminds me of Nixion's "peace with honor." I completely disagree with Obama's stance on outsourcing. What a bunch of BS that is. Of course outsourcing has hurt the US. BS about those being low paying jobs as they were the stepping stone for a lot of IT guys. I am very pro gun and even though Obama says he supports the second amendment I think it is likely he would sign a bill that would limit our rights if he could.

I have never heard a Republican be that critical of Bush who lied to get into an illegal and immoral war. Not to mention how hard I had to laugh at his new autobiography. The worst part of his presidency was when Kaney West said bad things about him. Not 9/11, or making the decision to go to war that so many have sacrificed their lives for, or even making decisions that crashed the economy and took our country from the largest surplus ever to the largest deficit ever. No his worst moment was when his ego got hurt. What a moron.

Notice that Jessie Ventura now lives in Mexico.

I'm pretty sure I'm stuck here.

Most people don't see it or just don't understand it.

We have all lived in a 'Socially Manipulated' country for decades.

But before now as a country we always had enough money to 'throw' at the problems that came up and everything was 'just peachy'... not that way anymore.

A 'Free Market' in the U.S.A. and every other country in the world is a VERY large myth.

NOT the 'Republicans' ( and sorry, Pb) not even Ron Paul could restore a 'free market' system to our country... look what happened when the 'banks' were deregulated to allow them to sell stocks and bonds and make 'bad loans'... 'CRASH'.

So for anyone to complain that Obama or any other president is going 'socialist' on us is a complaint that just won't hold up... we've been there for some time now.

Some people will say, "Yeh. But ... we never went this far before!"

It is ALL just a matter of how it is put to us and how we perceive it. Because what is the government 'pushing money' into the economy 'other' than 'socialized' economics' whether it is the Repubs or the Dems that do it? (Bush approved the 'bailout money' to the banks and 'stock brokerages' for those that might not be aware of that... and HE was a Republican).

But my gripe is... if we are going to be manipulated anyway... 'why don't they throw us a bone and 'legalize cannabis'... and YES I am serious.

Happy smiling citizens is what we need and want... good God... we're already controlled from the cradle to the grave... why not lets us get a 'little smile' on once in a while.

They make a bit more 'tax' money to play games with and we get to reduce our pain and maybe even 'recreate' once in a while.

Makes sense to me...

But to complain that we are going 'socialist'... come on take a look around ya!

(not that you were complaining about going 'socialist, Pb. Just had to get up on the 'soap box' for a minute.)

I like Jessie. His show is full of logical and conceptual fallacies so I really can't watch it for long. None the less a lot of what he says I agree with. For a libertarian he is not afraid to penalize corporations who don't act in the public interest. At times he even goes further than some Democrats would. You gotta like that kind of honesty.

You're just projecting your personal bias and that was what I was responding to. Nothing is black or white.

Obama was always considered a moderate or conservative Democrat among progressive Liberals throughout the '08 election. But the BELIEF was that Liberals would be represented in the new administration and the White House would have an open door policy on new ideas to bring about change. That didn't happen. We got Rahm Emanuel, instead. We got Birch Bayh. We have a government that very much resembles that of Bush/Cheney - endless wars, and so on. I think ever since the Gulf fiasco it's become clear that Obama's allegiances are more with the New World Order than the democratic electorate.

Bayh the way, I've just posted a new image gallery I'm dubbing a 'Festivus for the Rest of Us' (of course) if anyone is interested. Dedicated to the members of the MMMA

No bias at all..The guys a tool and has been ever since he was back in Illinois.

here is an example

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/warner-todd-huston/2008/08/13/obama-lied-about-vote-against-live-birth-abortion-ban-media-mum

not to mention the fact when he was on the senate in Illinois he cast no votes (rather than yea or nay) except for protecting live birth abortion and basically banning guns..

Why do I have to be labeled as biased? Im no repub or a dem im nothing..They are all corrupt liars, it was just funny to me how this guy was treated like a saint when he wasn't and never will be..I take that back he got the nobel peace prize for simply breathing he may just be sainted by the end of term...

Whats biased is that those who support him in anyway call you things like racist or biased for simply stating the truth or simply and opinion about this jerk and we all know why that is and it does come down to black or white..

The difference is I think Bush was a dolt but I don't really hate the idiot. You seem to have a hatred for Obama that is personal. So much so that a reasonable discussion of his policies can't even occur.

Yes Yessss my saying bad things about him really stands for "hatred". I happened to come across these things before he was elected and then saw him speak about change and all that lie then saw he took money from like a few of the largest banks involved in this crash after saying that those same banks need held responsible..Hell man this was also all in Micheal Moore's last film and he actually publicly supported Obama in his blogs and interviews...But ya know because I don't like the guy my dislike gets labeled as "hate" rofl gotta love it......

Great words of wisdom about "Goober" - :goodjob: the worst president this country has ever had.

I heard that if you buy "Goober's new book" it comes with 32 Crayons...LMAO!

Ok bush was a dumby however almost all the point the super list made were things the president only signs off on. Innate tried to explain it to many however most don't get it. The house and senate make up bills the president only can make recommendations as to what those should be. Then when they get to him he either signs them or he vetoes them. Plain and simple. As for Obama saving capitalism I am afraid not what the congress did was socialized certain industries. They pour large amounts of China's money into companies that really should have been allowed to die.

I hear people scream about big brother and government getting off our backs about mmj. Well you can't have it both ways. You either live by socialist rules or you don't. I would say you live in a democratic society but the united states of America stopped being that when the new deal was signed. When people use the government to live they allow themselves to be part of a socialist society. I have heard how could you let the car companies go under well Chrysler, and chevy where dragged under by the excessive pay and benefits they allowed the unions to extort from them. They should be out of business! What about all those jobs you ask. Well if we go from 8 or 9 car companies in this country and we loose 2 the other car companies are going to have to ramp up production to take the place of the companies that went under. Well to do that they will need workers guess what the people that lost their jobs will be abosorbed by the remaining companies.

Also there are a few reasons this country is falling apart.

1. Clinton era use of short term bond to prop up the Economy. Made things look great when he was in office but when they hit maturity the money had to be given back and bam right back to crap.

2.Clinton pushing the banks to try and make everyone home owners. They gave loans to anyone created adjustable rate mortages to get people into more home than they could afford. It was greed that caused issue with that greedy loan companies and greedy people wanting more house than they should have. Inunderstand that not everyone that lost their homes where greedy I am saying there was a large population of people that got in way over their heads to get a show house. Something that made it seem they where better off then they were. Inknownwe were approved for 60,000 more than what we spent on our home back then. Now all the people losing their homes or just bailing on them cause mento lose 40,000 in equity innmy home.

3. IMO the biggest our reliance on foreign oil we desire it but we don't wish for it in our back yard. Sorry we have massive untapped amounts of oil in this country that we can't touch. Wanna know what almost brought my family tonic knees $3 and $4 a gallon gas. It is sad but true gas prices and the insane increase after 9-11 raised my coat of living while wages stayed the same. The money had toncome from somewhere guess when unpaid off my caravan rather than doing my usual buying a newer car just hasn't happened. My extra money is used for gas and other bills.

4. 9-11 the terrorist attacks of that day had reprocutions that we may never understand. That is what set off gas prices the meijer next to my work raised gas prices $1.40 that day for no reason other than they could. That day set in motion the wars after it. We had no reason to go into any of the countries we did go into.

5. The wars part A. Iraq we should have had sadam out

The first time. Also we waited for weapons inspecters sadam was running the weapons out through the tunnels to neighboring countries while the UN played his games . So yes mo weapons of mass destruction. However the day George Bush stood under the mission accomplished banner should have been the last day we had a sizable force in that county. We set out to take down sadam. We did he should have said "follow me boys we are going home." and the let the UN make sure things got some right after that. We are now Iraqy cops and we see how our cops in this country are right. Afganistan did we learn nothing from Russia they fought there for years wanting to rule it they didn't partly because we trained slot of the very fighters we are now fighting against.

Honestly bush sucked but so has ever single other president since the founding fathers.

I have yet to vote for a president I simply choose the lesser of two evils.

Just my humble opinion
