Why I Voted Republican

I totally DIDN'T vote Republican just because of flashy, expensive campaign commercials! I don't understand you at all.... how could you think such a thing?!?

- I voted Republican because I think the Mexican woman illegally washing my underwear has funny eyebrows and I want her gone!

- I voted Republican because trees make me angrier than cars.

- I voted Republican because I think millionaires work harder than most, and billionaires work a THOUSAND times harder!

- I voted Republican because I believe that the devil will come in the form of Socialism.

- I voted Republican because I love falling asleep at night knowing that I saved a very rich man from paying a tax percentage higher than my own.

- I voted Republican because my sneaky teenage daughter went and had an abortion after I had already started knitting booties.

- I voted Republican because I know Social Security has nothing to do with Socialism because if it did, it would be called Socialism Security. Duh!

- I voted Republican because the girl I had a crush on in High School turned out to be gay and broke my heart, so I swore vengeance on her kind.

- I voted Republican because I dabbled in witchcraft in my younger years too.... but I'm totally better now!

- I voted Republican because I know poor people only pretend to get sick.

I'd have more respect for the republicans if they just came out and said we need to kill about 50-75 millions Americans because we just can't stand the thought of those less fortunate among us "through no fault of their own" collecting ANY form of public assistance.

- I voted Republican because I think Pinky and the Brain is real. ( a nod to Christine O'Donald who said that we need to stop genetic experiments because scientist have created lab mice with human inelegance.)

- I voted Republican because I want "them" to keep their government hands off my Medicare. (ignoring that Medicare is a gov run program that returns 99% of what it takes in back in payments vs. 70% by privately run, for profit, insurance companies.)

- I voted Republican because I don't know history.

From Harding In 1921 to Bush in 2003, Democrats held White House for 40 years, and Republicans for 42.5 years, during which time,

1. Democrats created 75,820,000 net new jobs and Republicans 36,440,000.

2. Per Year Average : Democrats = 1,825,200 vs. Republicans = 856,400.

3. There was either a depression or a recession during the administrations of 6 of the 9 Republican presidents .

4. The DOW grew by 52% more under Democrats, and

5. The GDP grew by 26.4% more under Democrats.

Since 1950 Republican Presidents are responsible for 84% of the national debt.

420... you can't keep that 'Military - Industrial' complex going without spending a 'few' bucks.

And to think... it was a Republican that warned us about it... Eisenhower, I believe.

Money talks no matter which party is listening.

Can't wait to see what the 'new' House of Congress and the Senate do with the 'Supreme Courts' decision to allow money to be put into the election process WITHOUT having to disclose from whom and where the money came.

But I expect that most of our political 'excitement' will come from right next door this coming year... LANSING.

Hidee ho, hidee ho it's off to work we go.

The Republican party is the party of atonement and purification, the Sunday-morning-come-to-Jesus party...

Americans vote Republican when they feel they have been naughty and are in need of punishment...

Americans vote Republican when they get scared...

Republicans are the abusive spouse Americans keep going back to...

Iran is of no concern.

They are merely one of Putin's many yapping lap dogs.

And America's roll as global cop is coming to an end.

We simply can't afford it, and as usual the Chinese can do it cheaper.

I think we will begin to see expanded use of the Chinese Army.

The Chinese will need to apply its military muscle in order to defend their ever growing interests in Africa and the Middle East, as they solidify their iron grasp on the world's resources.

These are not regions where the Chinese are going to get off easy with buying off the local citizens with schools and fresh water.

This is where we will see China step onto the world stage as a true super power.

They will use military occupation to ensure the uninterrupted supply of crucial materials required for their economic prosperity.

Nah... the food 'additives', the 'plastic containers', 'modern' medicine and 'pollution' should easily do the trick.

Add all that into the 'fluoride' and 'chlorine' coming from the water tap... and 'BINGO' baby!

Always love these "anti-republican" topics.......

For the most part I don't vote democrat.....and didn't. In the case of this years election....Voted Daniel Grow (Libertarian-knowing full well he'd loose, but his platform on non-mmj issues didn't make me puke)..Couldn't bring myself to vote Leyton (don't agree with some of his policies outside of marijuana in many cases, and cant vote based on only one portion of my beliefs), and Schutte was insane..

Users in here giving quotes from blogs that nobody ever visits, written by nobodies in any economic fields....Funny as all be. Like copying and pasting some stat from a nobodies blog makes it real....*shakes head

There's many Rep MMJ users out there people. Attack the individual in office instead of being so narrow minded you lump all Rep's into some insane pile and attacking the group as a whole. It's just insulting.

Didn't vote republican this time around.......But not saying I rule them out in the future. I refuse to say I'm one or the other. I will vote my conscience no matter what party the person is in.

Point being...wish this mentality of downing large groups of people you actually have no clue about (you have no idea how I think or what concerns me) would end...

But probably wont.

Sad thing is, is my bet is most people in this forum voted Leyton without even knowing how he stood on other things that effect our lives...that's what's really sad. But now lets deal with the moron we got in office the best we can.....together, not as some "party line"

Signed

Probably would have voted Republican if the choices wouldn't of been insane and deceitful...

It is fair to ask where the information comes from. Most of what I posted comes from the Congressional Budget Office and the New York Times Hamster Chart. But even if it did come from an "unknown blog that no one reads" does not invalidate the facts. The only valid counter argument would be to find errors or omissions in the facts I posted and not dismiss them outright because you disagree with them. Please feel free to counter those facts with ones you produce.

My guess is no matter where the proof comes from you would not believe it. Certainly Faux News will not show you this information because it does not agree with their narrative. You could read through the reports from the presidents themselves. Even the ultra conservative Christian Science Monitor admits the economy does better under Democrats. They put a spin on it but none the less they are honest about the facts. The numbers don't lie.

The folks who voted Republican in this latest election (who normally don't and were just mad because Obama - a.k.a. Chocolate Jesus...as Bill Maher on HBO likes to call our president...hasn't miraculously fixed everything wrong with our country since January of 2009) made about as much sense as a hormonal teenager!

Republicans being endorsed my a moderator of this site makes me want to puke!

Name me one single republican who is currently in the legislature in Lansing who supports our law?

There weren't any co-sponsors of Wayne Kuipers' bill who were democrats and that wanted to destroy our law.

This is a medical marijauna website AND I'm not sure what else to say...other than your remarks would certainly seem to alienate a lot of people - including me.

Sorry you want to puke, but maybe if you could read and had any language comprehension skills you might see that I didn't support any republican candidate this time around, and your lil tummy wouldn't be so upset. But see this is the problem. Some of you guys are so lost in the cause you can't even read a sentence without screwing it up. This isn't good. This shows your complete blindness. If we're going to make this happen in our state, we need people without mild forms of dyslexia.

Rather then trying to condemn me for speaking up in a more general sense, asking people to not hurl insults around the forum to their brothers that may not vote the way you want, you'd be much better off outlining the problems you've got with the administration that's about to take office and encourage our brothers to help. The only one doing any "alienating" is you mizerman. You can't read, and you attack others. So what's your point? What's alien about voting on more then one subject? Kinda dumb if the only reason you voted for a candidate was because he's pro MMJ. Now mind you, Daniel Grow is pro MMJ, and that certainly played a part in the way I voted. But come on man. voting in a one sided direction isn't real smart.

Point is threads of this nature are alienating by nature. I'd like to see it quit. But this is the "un-censored" portion of the forum and your free to drivel on all you'd like.

But believe this.....My conservative mind set played not one part when I had to make up banners for Leyton here at the MMMA. Nor did my mind set allow me to vote Schutte when the second rolled around. I picked the guy I could live with in my own conscience knowing he didn't have a chance in hell.......That's a real voter Miserman....Don't let being informed alienate you. I know it's an easier road to just follow what other people tell you. It took a crap load of time looking up what each of the candidates had to say about things that effect me.

But good luck with the thread anyways....I'll email ya some Rolaids......

Really? You are going to self-righteously dismiss anyone who does not agree with you as be misinformed? Isn't just as possible that they could reach a different conclusion as you did given the same information? Or perhaps they have better sources that makes them better informed. Let's stay away from the generalities and fallacies of distraction if we are to discuss these difficult issues with any intellectual honesty.

It's not that I wouldn't believe figures. It's that your post is a red herring. Each following presidency ammasses more debt then the privious. Every one of the links you choose to give are from 2008 and older (with the exception of "the economy does better under democrats": which is a new report but using the old figures stopping at 2009)? Is there a reason you ommit Obama? Well of course there is. Once you'd add his numbers you find a man that made Regan's spending seem like yard sale shopping.

It's always going to be the last guy up that shows the worst numbers. I'll be in the same position as you in 2012 ( I say this, but I could be voting for a dem or a lib just as easy depending on whose available- But just for arguments sake) with the way things are going. Obama's surpassed Bush by over a third and his year isn't even up yet, much less his full term. And the fact all your documentation stops at 2008/09 shows your bias and intellectual dishonesty in attempts present a "balanced" look at the figures.

I don't even care though. My points been totally missed. Why degrade a whole group of people? Period. When rep is in office....and he's screwin up. Say it. When a Dem is in office screwing up....Say it. Move for real change, and not some slogan. This thread amounting to all Reps are loosers is complete garbage. It doesn't do a thing but make republicans here not want to participate.

You may have the attitude:"Well then, we don't need you"......Well - yes you do...We need as many supporters from as many walks of life as we can get. Heck I've even converted my 65 year old mother over from the dark side. Wish I could of done that wile in HS getting grounded for a month at a time for her finding my stash....but better late then never.

Just saying the mud slinging isn't accomplishing any thing. I mean really? Whats this thread helped? Has it informed a user about anything MMJ related? Probably not.

Best anywho...
