I hope he runs VP for Ron Paul!

He's gonna need us,he wont have the ilks of someone like Oprah behind him,I like Johnson/Paul. sorry for me I like him better than Ron and he's younger,Paul will be almost 80 when 2012 comes around,age should have nothing to do with it but let's be real it does.....

well I guess we'll have to agree to disagree because right now the dems make me sicker then the repubs these days and Im not a big fan of the R's either,but I'll say what everybody else says ,to me they are the lesser of two evil's. I wish we could have a libertarian or a third party,but there is no way the D and R is going to let that happen and it will just be a wasted vote. How BO bypassed Congress to go into Libya and not get called on the carpet on it is beyond me,he thinks his bunny muffin doesnt stink he he doesnt have to answer to anyone,that pisses me off,the trillion dollars stimulus money is somehow lost and the shovel ready jobs,well there really was no shovel ready jobs and nobody is mad about this??Im over it already!

You need some mind expanding medicine. We agree that most politicians are lying scum. Where you are wrong is that the Repubs hold the golden ticket on going back on their promises. Where is the transparency that we were promised? I'm so so so glad that Osama or Usama or whatever the f his name is is dead dead dead. The mission to kill him was taken right out of the Dick Cheney play book.

 

Two years ago the feds were spending like drunk sailors. Much of that money has yet to be seen, like this railway project. The Recovery & Reinvestment Act was not meant to save the economy, it sure didn't save my real estate value. It will be what appeases the sheep of the world in reelecting this douche. Meanwhile SS medicaid and other entitlements will suffer as will the needy.

 

My mother-in spouts the exact same stuff as you. She's all about the unions. She's DIRT poor and has been all her life. She's not even in a union. I think her Dad might have been in one in 50's when they were needed! She's not empowered to do anything. Spent her whole life sponging off of others. Still she insists that she's a taxpayer. No hunny, you're not. You're a Citizen, but not a "tax paying citizen", sorry had to get that one off my chest.

 

The Repubs core values? Relax, you can be a left leaning moderate and still be right all the time.

IMHO, the positions Gary takes here are what it will take to restore our country and preserve our freedoms. Wild Bill, you get me thinking...from your other posts I thought you were a liberal (maybe I was wrong), yet you agree with a libertarian, who is at the opposite end of the political spectrum. I have a hunch that many here that come off as liberals are at heart libertarians, or at least lean heavily that way. Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense to be libertarian about mj and mmj but stand for government control in all other areas, which is what liberalism ultimately stands for (in spite of their rhetoric). After all, isn't that our position on mmj?... libertarian...keep the government out of it! Though I only have libertarian leanings, I could vote for this guy.

I will fully admit some of that list are his failings, but how is glen becks rally his fault. and now the president is supposed to have absolute power over congress something our constitution was intended to prevent? before you spot stupid republican rhetoric you might want to grow a brain in your head and try to use a little bit of logic. Also Obama care actually was incredibly popular in poles when Obama's name was taken off of it and the actual bill was explained to the people who were asked to vote. As for appointing commies sorry we dont live in the Mccarthy era when the secret police can arrest you for being a commie, its time for you to grow up...

Why is it you liberals always respond with nastiness, name calling, and personal putdowns? How about just sticking with a reasoned, rational argument? I've read this type of thing so many times on this site that sometimes I want to puke. I love a good political debate, but this sort of thing just poisons the water. Knock it off.

Yup about the insults, a point can be made without insulting someone. How are you gonna enlighten someone i you're insulting them? OK you disagree. Once someone hears an insult, they're gonna turn their attention away from you and no matter how right you may be, you lost your audience. A little diplomacy goes a long way. People have yelled at me and insulted me- occasionally I'll consider their points, but later on, when I've had a chance to cool off and think. If someone had something really important to say, but they were yelling at you and or insulting you, how would you feel? Recently it happened to me, someone disagreed with me and although I disagreed with him, I was willing to hear him out, till he insulted me, though he didn't call me names. Insults come in many forms. There's no need to elaborate. My best reaction to that is my silence.

 

I've had some very deep discussions on some very controversial issues, with people who were strongly against ideals I truly believe in, but instead of insulting them, I tried to show them a way to at least consider my side, and guess what? They listened! I didn't expect to convert them, though that would've been nice, but at least they were willing to hear me out. I planted the seed, it was up to them what to do with it.

 

Now, as far as politicians go, it's very hard for me to believe any of them anymore. Obama spoke very eloquently, said what we wanted to hear. My best advice to him and anyone else is: Don't make promises you may be unable to keep!

 

I had it with politics.

If Mr. Johnson stands for the rights of each individual, which he seems to do, then he is the only choice for you if you are an individual human. If you are not an individual and are only a part of a large controlling continuing criminal enterprise or group, then vote for any other democrat or republican. Then don't be surprised when your rights keep disappearing and are eventually will be all gone because of this evil 2 party system. One side will control you in some ways, and the other maybe in other ways, but the bottom line is if you ever want a chance to have a life where the rights of each individual are respected and uphelp above all else (as long as you are not harming others) then please consider voting for this man. If you enjoy living in an ever increasing police state controlled by democrats and republicans, then vote for a democrat or republican. He will get hammered on his issues esp legalizing MJ. Hannity mocked him and Chris Matthews see's him as a rodeo clown,I urge,beg each of you to get involved in his campaign,I know the more I listen to him the more I amire him,he left NM with a billion dollar surplus when he left office.

Oh yea, all the republican establishment will try their best to defeat him, and if he wins the dems will say how he is en evil republican but he is neither one, he is running as a republican but he stands for something the rest of his party don't like, and that is for individual human rights. Both parties will be against him, because he is for you and against them. He doesn't have a chance unless I see a big turn around in the mind set of most who post on this forum. Good luck with that.
