Resign Now!

Marijuana activists are calling on President Barack Obama to fire Drug Enforcement Administration leader Michele Leonhart for insubordination after she denounced the president's opinion that marijuana is less dangerous to consume than alcohol.

Some law enforcement leaders are rushing to Leonhart's defense, but two congressmen who favor reforming marijuana laws tell U.S. News they are fed up with the DEA administrator.

Rep. Jared Polis, D-Colo., says in his dealings with Leonhart he has "found her to be completely incompetent and unknowledgeable."

Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., says for Leonhart, "the honorable thing to do would be to assume a Japanese posture and resign," referring to self-imposed accountability for failure by corporate and political leaders in Japan.

The Marijuana Policy Project launched a Change.org petition Monday calling for Obama to fire Leonhart. As of Wednesday, it had received more than 20,000 signatures.

The Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association leapt to Leonhart's defense Tuesday, saying in a press release MPP members – "perhaps while under the influence of a mind altering substance" – decided to "trample on the Administrator's freedom of speech – a Constitutional right – while trumpeting their new-found Colorado freedom to get high in public and spread the stench of their smoke."

Wow, Fedleo's Association are muffin makers.  They don't even realize it's not as much what she said it's her views being in the position she is in.  Most of America knows mj is less harmful and if your job is to know and you don't, it REALLY undermines the belief in the American Law Enforcement System!  And their remarks undermines it even moreso!!

One man's mind altering substance is another man's testosterone.

The Law Enforcement Association sees the writing on the wall. Their days on the job are numbered, after which they will have to find an honest living. Sure they're going to whine.

Tee hee.

They should focus on all the new drugs that have come out as they aren't quitting making them.  They have job security for the rest of our lives.  They are creating the problem.  Humanity will never stop looking for ways to alter reality.  It's been around since the beginning of time.  And humanity will never stop trying to control humanity by making things "illegal" which have no victim.  Not to mention there are real crimes going on all the time.

There will always be people trying to sell you snake oil to get rich off of. That's the root of the problem with the 'spice' type drugs. I'm glad the cops are over that BS. There's plenty of spice victims out there, sick and going to be supported by the system the rest of their lives.
